Even by the heady standards of Welsh pub rock GTFBi's story is both remarkable and uplifting.
Through a history of discarded relationships, terrifying slavery, mind boggling bankruptcy, suicide attempts, and failure at the cycling proficiency test, they have emerged via a surreal and meaningful period of psychotherapy (at the unknown and exclusive clinic known as the Bureaux of Arrangements, soon to be immortalised in a GTFBi classic release) to find themselves at the most significant point in the band's career to date and looking forward to the iconic status that awaits.
It was Spring '96 amid the smoky, intoxicating, yet somehow inspiring atmosphere of Ye Olde Bull Inn, Caerleon - Rasher & Will proudly gave birth to their cherished baby - GTFBi. August bank holiday that year, they combined with a number of friends in Caerleon RFC for an unrehearsed drunken jam, however they blew the roof off the place with a barn-storming, hyper-manic, stonker of a gig which tapped the seeds of the magical groove that was to become GTFBi.
Here's our tribute to those who have played their own unique parts in the adventure:
